Located on James Street North is Mulberry Street Coffeehouse. The cozy and relaxed atmosphere along with great drinks and a variety of menu choices makes Mulberry one of my favourite coffee places of all time.
Mulberry Street Coffeehouse is situated in a stunning heritage property which was the Hamilton Hotel in 1900. The brickwork and ceilings are something that I really enjoy about most heritage properties.
The atmosphere inside is totally relaxing and the different rooms allow you to find your own cozy spot to enjoy. I opt to sit by the window, with the rustic wooden high table, and attempted to absorb some sunlight. The south facing patio in the summer is also a great place to be to get your Vitamin D.
Mulberry offers a nice selection of tasty treats, lunch items and soups (gluten free and vegan options are available). The paninis, soups and salads have quality ingredients and taste amazing.
I grabbed a London Fog and the gluten free carrot cake cupcake. The London Fog was one of the best I’ve had and it blew Starbucks and Second Cup out of the water. Mulberry uses Might Leaf Tea which really make the difference when it comes to flavour. So, not only do you get a better quality, you also get it for a lower cost than the two big chains.
This carrot cake cupcake was that good that it deserves a close up.
