If you’re looking to get a head start on your vegetable garden this spring you must go to The Mustard Seed Co-op’s seedling sale on May 7th and 8th! This year there are 20 different farms offering organic, heirloom and local seedlings.
Last year I picked up a number of different seedlings. With being able to ask the farmers questions, I was able to pick up the right vegetables for my garden’s growing conditions. I had so much fun with my garden last year that I marked this date in my calendar so I wouldn’t miss it!
Each day there will be a different set of vendors so be sure to check for further details on the event website if you want to buy from a specific farm.
This year the sale is happening on Saturday from 8 am – 1 pm and on Sunday from 10 am – 1 pm. Bring cash because you will be buying directly from the farmers, plan to spend around $5 on each seedling. We will be sharing our progress on Instagram (@hamiltonfoodtours) using the hashtag #SeedlingSale2016!
