We decided to check out Nique Restaurant’s grand opening Friday night. Even before Nique occupied their very cool, hip space at 30 Vine Street (corner of Vine and James St. North), they created a buzz with their presence at the NOSH week pop up and they visited Toast Wine Bar on John St. to share their culinary skills.
I heard so much about the sushi nachos that I was afraid the dish would not live up to its reputation, I was wrong. They were spicy and delicious. Everyone enjoyed them.
I decided to order Nique’s Novemburger offering. The burger included caramelized onions (cooked down for 12 hours), cheddar, garlic mayo on a house made brioche bun. It was fabulous! The hand cut fries were perfect.
Everyone enjoyed their delicious food and despite being very full, saved some room to share the funnel cake….so good!
The service was amazing. The space was very unique and inviting. The food was stellar. What more can you ask for?
I’m constantly amazed at how each new restaurant in Hamilton offers something completely different from the rest, keeping the Hamilton food scene fresh and exciting.
Make reservations if you plan to go….this place is popular, seats were filling up as we were finishing and they were fully booked with reservations Friday night (and order the sushi nachos, you won’t be disappointed!).
I think that it is great that you’re trying to publicize this establishment; but, I think you need to also acknowledge the fact that the prices are atrocious and the photos you have taken are deceiving because the portions are much smaller than the pictures seem. It also fails to capture the fact that the customer service is absolutely terrible.

Hi Rachel, sorry you had a bad experience there. Have you contacted the restaurant directly? They can only improve if they know of the issues.
